One of the principal aims of the charity is to assist former service personnel and those who had undertaken National Service, who were either born in Derbyshire or are resident within the county, and their dependents, who are in conditions of need, hardship, or distress by making grants of money or by providing or paying for items, services or facilities, which address those needs.
Every application received by the Derby and Derbyshire Disabled Soldiers Settlement is treated on an individual basis and wherever possible, we look to accommodate all our applicants who fall within the criteria for funding.
